Classes commence the first Monday of each month .This program is based primarily on 800 hours in class education.

The full time  program is 3 days per week for approximately 35 weeks. Each student receives 8 hours per day, 24 hours per week.

All students are expected to take a full course depending on attendance records.  This course is one continuous program and has no breaks from the date of commencement.

 

Program runs Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Training methods includes facial therapy and related studies pedicures, manicures Body Treatments Artificial Nails, Hair removal, Make-up (permanent & topical, camouflaging techniques)

  • Manicure
  • Pedicuring
  • Soft Waxing  and Hard waxing 
  • Make-up permanent Topical & Air Brush
  • Body treatments, Wraps & Scrubs
  • Brow & lash treatments
  • Artificial nails, Wraps, Acrylic, Gel & overlays 
  • Sterilization & sanitation
  • Product knowledge. The appropriate application of cleansers, toners, moisturizers, peelings, masks etc. 
  • Cosmetic Chemistry for the Esthetician; basic chemistry and physics, introduction to cosmetics, emulsions
  • Basic massage techniques 
  • Manicures & pedicures
  • Paraffin treatments for the hands feet & body
  • Composition of the nails and hair,
  • Understanding the skin, aging factors, cosmetic surgery, disorders of the skin
  • Detailed human anatomy cells, skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory etc.
  • Application of Electro therapy & electricity & how it works
  • Knowledge and the understanding of how to operate esthetic machines such as high frequency, infra red, ultra violet & galvanic therapy, steamers & lucca
  • Understanding the skin and its functions
  • Recognizing the Disorders of the skin
  • Paraffin treatments
  • Cellulite treatments
  • Body Piercing
  • Body wraps using salts, scrubs and herbal baths
  • Aromatherapy and Esthetics
  • Holistic beauty therapy . The use of botanical products in the work place, how to create a holistic beauty treatments
  • Color psychology for makeup and color coordination
  • Basic understanding for Auryveda how to Dosha type clients and utilize your treatments to enhance the clients Dosha

  • Business practices and principals
  • Profession business management opening a salon
  • Sales psychology and human relations in business

    Esthetics Course Objectives

    At the end of the training each student will have a basic understanding of the subjects listed  and the ability to perform the tasks related to the subject.

    Conduct themselves in an ethical manner, with confidence while providing customer care.
    Observe rules of personal hygiene and grooming and perform all tasks with an awareness of safety factors involved.

    Demonstrate an awareness of different types of bacteria and apply the procedures for sanitation and sterilization.

    Demonstrate an understanding of the histology and physiology of: body cells bone structure, muscle, nerve systems, circulatory, endocrine systems, skin, hair, oil glands, excretory system. Give Manicure, Pedicure and recognize the presence of disorders and diseases of the nails and skin apply artificial nail products.

    Give facials, body treatments, piercing, waxings using hard and soft wax.

    Employ safety precautions necessary in handling electrical equipment.

    Be able to work independently and perform a complete consultation.

    Be knowledgeable about Esthetics  career options.

    Apply fundamentals of career and small business management.
